Our last day at the Sanctuary, we spent by the pool and in the ocean. We spent the next day in Charleston, a short drive away.

We had a wonderful dinner that evening at The Ocean Room. I was a little disappointed that the greens were somewhat bumpy from being aerated two weeks earlier, but I would do it all over again. But he was spot on and with the wind being down that day I had a very enjoyable but not extremely tough round. He suggested I play from the Kiawah tees which I thought might be too difficult. I told Chris my caddy what my normal club distances were, and he told me he had been watching me hit balls on the range. I've only used a caddy a few times in my life. I was wary of playing such a difficult golf course I didn't want to torture myself there. I played golf at The Ocean Course the next morning. Although I thought I had booked reservations for dinner at Tomasso's, they could not find them, and we had dinner in our room that evening. Our room was on the fourth floor with a view of the ocean and the large lawn area. While waiting we had a cocktail at the bar and did a little property tour. My wife and I arrived at The Sanctuary Hotel on 7/14 at about 4PM. I booked this trip about 4 months in advance and knew that this exclusive resort was going to stretch my budget.
